Hose Fittings, Swage & R-U

Hose fittings play an often overlooked but critically important role in maintaining the well-being of any hydraulic system. Using incorrect fittings—that is, ones that are not designed to fit in a particular spot, or were not designed to tolerate the type of media in the system—can lead to major problems, up to and including catastrophic system failure. Old and worn fittings are dangerous as well. If you are searching for new or replacement hose fittings, you can always rely on White House Products Ltd. to supply the ones you need to ensure the best possible performance.

Fittings are available in a wide variety of designs. How do you know if a particular fitting is right for your particular application? One important consideration is the kind of hydraulic fluid (or other media) circulating through the system: water, oil, or another substance. You need to make sure that the fitting you’re using has been engineered for use with your hydraulic media. In addition, bear in mind that metal (e.g.steel) fittings can better withstand high-pressure systems than plastic (e.g., polypropylene) devices, although metal is also more prone to corrosion.

Fittings are also categorized by the way they’re designed to connect to the system. Compression fittings, crimp fittings, flange fittings, and push in (or push-to-connect) fittings are just a few common examples, each type distinctive in its connective features (e.g., gaskets, threads) and the method used to attach the device to the hose.

In this section we have posted our large inventory of swage and reusable hose fittings.  Use the search filter on the left-hand margin to narrow down your search. Feel free to contact us with your questions about any of these products.
