Parker expanded beyond its focus on hydraulic systems in the 1970s. However, its entry into the automotive aftermarket didn’t keep Parker away from hydraulics for long. The company acquired hydraulics manufacturer Commercial Intertech Corporation in 2000 and won a contract in 2008 to build fuel and hydraulic systems for the Airbus 350. Parker pumps include a range of different components, including bent axis, gear, gerotor, hydrostatic transmission, in-line axial piston, miniature in-line axial piston, tandem piston, and vane pumps.
