Dana Motion Systems was formed with the acquisition of the Brevini Fluid Power business, established in 2003 with the merger of several hydraulics companies.  In 2015, The Brevini Group consolidated numerous brands, including SAM Hydraulic, Hydr-App, BPE Electronics, and Brevini Hydraulics. This created a product range that incorporates a wide variety of fluid power systems.

This reorganization led to the renaming and re-cataloging of SAM Hydraulik products under the Brevini Fluid Power umbrella.  Now the hydraulic division of Dana Industrial, Brevini manufactures a range of axial pumps, motors, and orbital motors.
